Investment

DOWNTOWN RALEIGH INVESTMENTS

In 2016, Hyde Street Holdings (as part of the G.P.) acquired two downtown parcels from the City of Raleigh. With value created through the assemblage, approval of brownfield status, and design approval, the assemblage was sold to a New England investment firm. The 280,000+ SF mixed-use building is under construction.

OTHER RALEIGH INVESTMENTS

Recent investments include an inside-the-beltway (I-440) portfolio of Class B office buildings (and vacant land); properties adjacent to the main entrance of the new Dorothea Dix Park and a large commercial parcel located on the proposed New Bern Transit Corridor just outside I-440 beltway.

FINTECH INVESTMENT

Hyde Street Holdings holds a corporate investment in a debt internet platform focused on generating passive, short-term, high yield income streams. Secured by residential housing, the value proposition is to afford the general public access to institutional grade investments.

Development

MULTI-FAMILY DTR DEVELOPMENT

In 2013, Hyde Street Holdings was a part of a buying consortium, acquiring a two-acre site located in downtown Raleigh. The two-year negotiation, within bankruptcy courts, resulted in HSH acting as Co-Lead Developer of the 200+ unit CBD multifamily building.  The building was sold in July 2020 ($48MM).

ATTACHED SINGLE FAMILY DTR DEVELOPMENT

In the fall of 2016, Hyde Street Holdings broke ground on a one-acre assemblage (a contaminated surface parking lot and overgrown “locked city playground”). Seventeen owner-occupied single-family attached homes now stand at the location, comprising the largest expanse of individually owned and maintained residential rooftop greenspace in Raleigh.
